The Maine Food Producers Alliance is working on an innovative, state-wide program specifically targeted for Maine's food and beverage producers.  The "Market Ready" initiative will prepare these businesses for entry into customers markets. The program will help members to expand into larger retail, wholesale and distribution markets by focusing their business development on five tracks:

Food Safety & Quality*: This track will assist manufacturers in understanding and meeting market expectations for poduct reliability, sanitation, and compliance, as well as understanding state and federal regulations and process controls. Manufacturing Operations & Scaling Up*: This topic will focus on demonstrating how to maximize efficiencies in your manufacturing processes by using capital and human resources to reduce overall production costs. Take a look at our Content Map and see which topics would be most useful for your business today. Perhaps we even have video content on it already that you can access on our website. 

Distribution: This track helps businesses understand the possibilities for packaging, shipping and selecting a distribution partner, as well as managing inventory.

Sales & Marketing:  This track will help businesses develop a differentiated, meaningfully uniques product with a compelling brand story that delivers required profit for manufacturer and channel partners.

Financing Growth: This track will help businesses learn to manage cash flow and understand fiscal capacity in order to support equipment, facilities and personnel for growth and innovation. It will also address options for accessing capital.
